How to become a member...
If you currently hold a Firearm Certificate (FAC) and are already a member of another shooting club, then please contact our Secretary using the link below. Subject to a satisfactory reference and statement of competence being obtained from your present club secretary, your application will be put to our club committee for approval.
LRC has capacity to accept a limited number of probationary members each year and we welcome enquiries from people of all ages, sexes and ability, subject to a minimum age of 12yrs.
If you are a complete beginner to the sport you may wish to try it out at one of our guest days (charges apply) and afterwards apply to join LRC as a probationary member. The application process usually takes around 4 weeks after which, if accepted, you will receive instruction in the safe use of target rifles using our own club equipment (charges apply). Having attended the club regularly and demonstrated a good knowledge of safe shooting skills, you may apply for full membership following your probationary period and we will assist you in applying for your own FAC.
If air rifle/pistol is your passion you may apply to join as an air member. Rifles should not exceed 12ft. lbs. (6ft. lbs. for pistol) and you will not be permitted to handle other firearms or ammunition.
For reasons of safety and security, all potential applicants must visit the club to see the facilities before applying to join by appointment with our Secretary by email from here. Please include your full name and address and your telephone contact number so that we can register your interest in joining the club.
